[ShivaYoga] Ttribalism in India is what makes it beautiful, not the capitalism or democracy!

Wow! What a profound statement in these days of vanishing cultures
and
mistaken values and perverted thinking. If my beloved Gandhiji were
alive today , he would have been thrilled to hear such sentiments
expressed by someone outside of India , specially someone belonging
to a European country . Once in a while , it is nice to see the
Beauty of Inia through the eyes of a Western spirituualist .

The tribals - also called the Adivasis - ARE the Original
inhabitants of India . Yes , they are called by different names -
Bhils, Girivasis etc , But these innocent Tribals are the ones who
have paid a heavy price in independent India . They are the
neglected ; they are the most expolited lot. It is about time we
recognize their comtibution to the Indian cultural milieu and give
the tribals a fair chance to survive in a county where western values
are killing the spirit and backbone of eastern culture .

In Ramayana , the two character who impress most are Sabari , the
bhil woman who offered fruits to lord rama and Guha , the boatman who
carried Lord RAMA safely across the river in his boat . In
Mahabharata , It is Ekalavya , the archer from a tribal clan, that
impressed Dronacharya with his guru bhakthi by offering his right
thumb as Guru dakshina so Arjuna could ave no rivals to outwith him
in Mahabharata war ! Valmiki himself was a Bhil! ( tribal)

This is a shiva yoga group and may i also share with you the fact
that Mahadeshwara is the family god of the Soligas and other hill
tribals including Jenu Kurubas, Kadukurubas etc. IN THE STATE OF
KARNATAKA . One of the greatest devotees of Shiva was Kannappa
nayanaar ( also known as Thinna nar ) who offered his eyes to the
Lingam of Lord Shiva when he ran out of offerings .

We will be celebrating Independence day in two days time in india .
Should bharatamata not embrace her tribal children also and give them
a sense of dignity and purpose in life ? Are we that culturally blind
that we are only manufacturing IT graduateds a dime a dozen?

Adivasiis are not uncivilized or barbaric ! Rather , they are the
most excploited lot whose blood is sucked by so called civilized
members of the society! Adivasis have a rich tradition of folk art ,
folk culture which is the envy of the non adivasi world .

May the troee of Love be planted firmly on the soil of Bharat mata .
Let the leaves , fruits and branches of that tree be always Green !
